In love with a big cheese

Although I do love my husband very much, I’m afraid I’m having an affair; with a cheese!!! Guest article by my other half, Angela Campbell

Angela cuts the Brebirousse D’Argental

My new best friend is Brebirousse D’Argental. It’s a washed ewe’s milk cheese made from a co-operative in Lyon. It is soft, creamy and aromatic. The texture is very similar to brie and ripens perfectly to become wonderfully runny. Spread it on a baguette, eat it as a starter with Serrano or Palma ham with melon, or just eat it on it’s own in moments of sublime ecstasy.

So sorry Simon there’s three in this relationship now, you’re going to have to share me!

Note from Simonski: I am a bit like an old cheese anyway. Crusty, hard and sometimes pungent :-)

Simon Campbell

‘The master in the art of living makes little distinction between his work and his play, his labor and his leisure, his mind and his body, his information and his recreation, his love and his religion. He hardly knows which is which. He simply pursues his vision of excellence at whatever he does, leaving others to decide whether he is working or playing. To him he’s always doing both.’ – James A. Michener (1907-1997)
