We are explorers really…
Rather than using standard hotel accommodation, Tony convinced me it was a ‘great idea’ to take his caravan down to Longleat. In the past I have taken the piss out of Tony for this purchase. He keeps telling me its just for Emma (his partner) for travelling along dog agility events). I think its more fundamental. He watched ‘Snatch’ and fancied himself as a Brad Pitt character. But, the question is why the hell are we going Longleat?

A close shave
Funnily enough, returning from a dive expedition is always a real joy for me. When you are away, the water is never quite hot enough, the foam not quite foamy enough and the blades not quite sharp enough… So, I get in and go upstairs to have a great shave.

The tube is a wonderful thing
For a city I really don’t like, I spend an inordinate amount of time in London. Being a bloke who has a long standing love affair with open space, especially the sea, I do find cities claustrophobic. On the other hand, being a voracious traveller, I do warm to the occasional one; New York, Bath and Barcelona being my favourites (yes I know, I am not unique here).
